australian cobberdog News from europe historic meeting of dutch and finnish affiliates of the australian cobberdog parent club (aiacc)
On Saturday June 10 2017 two Dutch breeders (Diamond Dogs and Dog Sweet Dog) met with four Finish breeders (Wonders Australian Cobberdogs, Rosielands Australian Cobberdogs, Lofkulla Cobberdogs and Flanders Australian Cobberdogs) at the home of one of the Finish breeders, Wonder's.
While enjoying the beautiful nature, the excellent weather and great Finish food several subjects were discussed.
Amongst the discussions were ways to work together in improving the Australian Cobberdog breed. For example by letting the breed programs cross the European borders and working together in national and international organizations.
Also a lot of knowledge and experience with therapy dogs, dog allergy and the character of the Cobberdog have been exchanged.
The participants share the observation that the amount of Cobberdog breeders is growing but still limited. One important thing to improve is information sharing to be able to avoid the problems seen in other breeds.
This meeting turned out not only very educational for the breeders but also a lot of fun.
